A few years ago, I was telling someone about this blog and mentioned that FTDS was approaching 600,000 hits. His response: “Is that all?”
“Better than my book sales,” I replied.
It may seem inconsequential to some. However, these posts are my own writing. Except for the handful of guest posts, the words here came from me. I’m not boasting, but I am proud of this accomplishment.
Blogs are now “so 20-tens.” Along with newspapers and email, they’re becoming less popular than videos. I refuse to vocalize my thoughts. That’s difficult for me, as anyone who knows me can attest. It’s much more comfortable to express myself at a keyboard. And so I will continue, as long as I have something to say about life as a transit operator.
Next goal: 1,000,000. Thanks for reading, y’all.
